16 Year Old Teen Dies After Playing PUBG for 6 Hours continuously

A 16-year-old boy died of cardiac attack allegedly while playing PUBG battle game on his mobile phone for six hours at a stretch  in Madhya Pradesh, his father said Friday. The deceased was identified as Furkan Qureshi, a Class 12 student from Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on May 28 when Furkan Qureshi and his family, settled at Nasirabad in Rajasthan, had come to Neemuch to attend a marriage function.

Before Furkan Qureshi became unresponsive Monday while playing the Famous online game, PUBG, on his smartphone, he ‘shouted blast it, blast it’, told by his father.

My son was so engrossed in PUBG online game that he played it from Sunday evening to till the early hours of Monday.

He slept for a few hours and after getting up had his breakfast and then again started playing the game Haroon Qureshi said.

The teenager was rushed to a hospital after he became unresponsive while playing the game, but could not be rescued.

Doctor examined him at a nursing home. He was unresponsive. His heartbeat had stopped. “I tried my best but he was brought dead,” Dr. Ashok Jain said.

Kotwali police station inspector Ajay Sarwan said they had not been informed that the boy’s death has taken place due to a mobile phone game.

The popular smartphone game has been blamed for affecting the studies of Childrens, overall behaviour, conduct and language of children.

The game has been banned by the police in some cities of Gujarat.

Girish Karnad Passed Away on Monday

Veteran playwright and actor Girish Karnad passed away on Monday at the age of 81 after a prolonged illness in Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Karnad, Who has won the Jnanpith Award, was also conferred the Padma Shri in 1974 and the Padma Bhushan in 1992. He was also a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University, in the 1960s that earned him his Master of Arts degree in philosophy, political science, and economics.

His plays, written in Kannada, have been translated into English and many several Indian languages.

He made his acting debut and screenwriting debut in iconic Kannada movie, “Samskara” (1970), based on a novel by UR Ananthamurthy. It was directed by Pattabhirama Reddy and the film won the first President’s Golden Lotus Award for Kannada cinema.

he is best known as a writer and thinker.

Karnad was one of the most prominent artistic voices of his generation.

He was an eminent playwright with works such as “Nagmandala”, “Yayati” and “Tughlaq”, which was one of the most successfully performed plays, to his credit.

He also worked in Hindi cinema’s parallel film movement in movies such as “Swami”, and “Nishant”. His TV credits include “Malgudi Days” in which he played Swami’s father and a hosting stint in the science magazine “Turning Point” on Doordarshan in the early 1990s.

In later years, Karnad was seen in commercial films such as Salman Khan’s “Tiger Zinda Hai” and Ajay Devgn-starrer “Shivaay”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering his condolences on Twitter said that the actor’s “works will continue being popular in the years to come.

 

The cremation is scheduled at Kalpalli crematorium later in the day, said by the Karnad’s family.

Maharashtra board Ready to declare Class 12th results tomorrow

The Maharashtra Board has not given an official confirmation on the date and time of the result but reports of the Maharashtra board suggest that HSC result will be declared around tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm. Students can check their results on the official website of the Maharashtra boardmahresult.nic.in

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is likely to declare 2019 Class 12th results tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm. Students can check their results on the official website of the board- mahresult.nic.in. Apart from the official website, the students can also check their results on examresults.net and indiaresults.com

The Maharashtra Board conducted the Class 12th examinations from February 21 to March 20, 2019. This year, over 14 lakh students had registered for the MSBSHSE Class 12th examinations.

Last year, the board recorded a pass percentage of 88.41% in the Class 12th examinations. As many as 92.36% of girls had passed the Class 12th examination while the pass percentage for boys was recorded at 85.23%. The pass percentage for Science was recorded to be 95.85%, 89.50% for commerce and 78.93 percent for Humanities.
